When it comes to staying fit and healthy, do not underestimate just how important a part your oral health plays! You might not think about, but ensuring that your teeth are healthy and functional is actually one of the most vital parts of staying healthy and productive. Just think about all of the activities that you would no longer be able to do, or would have a much more difficult time doing, without your teeth or the structural integrity to support them. Things like speaking, chewing, and swallowing would suddenly seem almost impossible! That is why the field of restorative dentistry is so important. With restorative dentistry, today’s professionals have a lot of options at their disposal when it comes to keeping your natural teeth healthy.
What is restorative dentistry?
Restorative dentistry is the art and science of diagnosing and treating tooth defects to restore proper form, function and esthetics. These defects may be from caries, fractures, faulty dental restorations that need replacing, discolorations, or malformations.
Fillings are the most common restorations. Our office provides composite, tooth colored fillings, that are metal free and bisphenol A free. Another common restoration is a crown. Our office provides all ceramic crowns.
