Preventative care is one of the simplest and most important ways to make sure your child’s teeth grow strong and healthy. Brushing and flossing at home is vital to your child's oral health, but having routine dental visits will give your child even more protection against cavities.

We can give your child a deeper clean than they can get at home and remove any plaque build-up. We also give them the proper tools and teach them the right way to brush when they are young, which lays the groundwork to create lifelong, healthy habits.

Most children have two cleanings a year, but children with a higher risk of cavities may need more frequent visits.

What to expect during your child's visit 

During a checkup, your child’s hygienist will clean their teeth and remove any plaque build-up to avoid future tooth decay. Your hygienist will then floss your child's teeth and polishes them. If necessary,  we will also take x-rays and give your child a fluoride treatment. Dr. Noreen Goldwire will perform an exam and review if any treatment is needed.
